History
The idea for this organization started when two teens, Falak Chhatre and Mruthika Praburam, were discussing the effects of the pandemic on their personal motivation and education.
“It was difficult to keep up with the same work ethic when our learning environment and social lives had completely changed. We [Mruthika and Falak] wanted to share our struggle of finding meaning in the endless amounts of work we do on a daily basis and create something that could help others in a similar situation.”
~ Mruthika P. and Falak C.
Noticing similar discussions with their peers, they realized that this was a common issue not just for students near them, but all over the world. Because of the relevance of this issue, they decided to address this problem with the resources available to them. After countless hours of planning, ideation, and implementation, The Motivation Center was founded.
Understanding the vastness of this issue, they realized it was not only important to help and empower teens, but educate them through advocating about issues in the education field. Much misinformation about these topics existed, and they felt it was their duty to help battle this using the resources available to them.
Forming a team of students passionate about the organization’s mission, everyone worked to take what was once simply a conversation between teens about their struggles, to a tangible organization striving to create change.
